Become a BaySail Yacht Owner and Let Your Boat Work for You

Voted “Best of the Bay,” BaySail now has two owner programs to offer, each unique to your sailing routine.

The first is our Yacht Charter Management program which gives you unlimited access to your boat whenever you want and for as long as you want. In return, when you are not using your boat, BaySail will market your boat for charter and pay you, the owner, 50% of the revenue generated each month. This year, the average revenue paid to owners of charter boats in the 33-foot range in our fleet is expected to be over $10,000.

The second option is our SailTime Owner Program for new boat owners which also gives you ample access to your yacht through an online scheduling system that manages each user’s fractional time allocation of seven sail reservations per month. SailTime is a new twist on chartering — your boat will only be used by seven other qualified sailors exclusively. You can still use your boat regularly and sail it for a day, weekend, or even a whole week at a time.

In return, BaySail will guarantee annual revenue for your boat paid monthly. This season SailTime Owners received guaranteed income each month. Also with the SailTime Owner Program, SailTime will pay the slip/winter storage fees, and even pay the maintenance and insurance expenses for your yacht.

Either way there are several key advantages to placing a yacht in a program at BaySail including:

  • Your yacht will be located on the Chesapeake Bay at Tidewater Marina (in fresh water) in Havre De Grace, MD — a full service marina close to your home.
  • You and your yacht can be assured of personal attention – you won’t get lost in the crowd like you do at some larger charter operations.
  • There are often tax advantages available to you for yacht ownership — please consult your accountant for details.
  • BaySail is locally owned and managed — we provide full-time, hands-on management.

Regardless of which option you choose, you can be assured that your boat will be kept in excellent condition and managed to her full potential. To learn more about our programs please contact us.
